Orange syrup squares: the recipe to make them fluffy and super fragrant

Ingredients:
- For the syrup:
(1 cup = 140 ml)
1 cup of water
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of orange juice
Orange zest
- For the cake:
2 eggs
100 g of sugar
140 ml of milk
120 ml of oil
250 g of semolina flour
2 tbsp of flour
1 pinch of salt
11 g of baking powder
Orange zest
Coconut flakes for decoration
Directions:
1. Mix sugar, orange zest and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
2. Turn off the stove and add orange juice. Set aside.
3. Now whisk eggs with orange zest and sugar. Then add milk and oil, too.
4. Stir in dry ingredients: flour, baking powder and semolina flour.
5. Pour the batter into a buttered and floured rectangular mold.
6. Bake at 180° for about 25 minutes.
7. Pour the syrup from before when the cake is still hot.
8. Sprinkle with coconut to decorate, then serve cut in squares.
