Candied orange slices: fragrant and delicious!

INGREDIENTS
2 oranges
200g (1 cup) of sugar
200ml (3/4 cup) of water
1 cinnamon stick
Star anise
7 cloves
Chocolate (melted)
Shredded coconut
Pistachio grains
Candied fruit
METHOD
1. Cut the oranges into slices and transfer them to the boiling water for 10 minutes. Immediately afterward transfer them to cold water.
2. In a pan combine water and sugar on the fire, together with cinnamon, cloves, and star anise. Transfer the oranges and let them boil in syrup. Let them cook until the syrup has reduced considerably.
3. Transfer the orange slices to the baking tray covered with parchment paper, transfer them to the oven and let them bake at 70°C/158°F for 20 minutes.
4. After baking dip half of the orange slice in melted dark chocolate and decorate with shredded coconut, pistachio grains, and candied fruit. Let the chocolate firm before serving.
