Marbled cake with cherry topping: the delicious and simple dessert

Ingredients:
- For the cocoa batter:
125 g of unsalted butter (at room temperature)
150 g of brown sugar (or granulated)
8-10 g of vanilla sugar
3 medium-sized eggs
100 g of yogurt
150 g of flour
35 of cocoa powder
7 g of baking powder
- For the white batter:
300 g of cream cheese (or ricotta)
70 g of sugar
8-10 g of vanilla sugar
25 g of corn starch
1 medium-sized egg
- For the cherry topping:
350 g of cherries (fresh or frozen)
100 g of sugar
20 g of corn starch
- For decoration:
100 g of whipping cream
1 tbsp of powdered sugar
Directions:
1. In a bowl mix butter, sugar and vanilla sugar. Stir well to combine.
2. Add eggs one at a time, then also add yogurt.
3. Aside, mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder. Sift and stir them into the batter.
4. Pour the cocoa batter into a buttered cake mold.
5. Now mix cheese, sugar and vanilla sugar.
6. Add corn starch and egg.
7. Place the cheese mixture on top of the cocoa powder a spoonful at a time.
8. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 160° for 40-50 minutes.
9. Meanwhile pour cherries in a saucepan and add sugar and corn starch too.
10. Put on the stove and cook stirring continuously until it thickens.
11. Pour the cherries on top of the cake.
12. Decorate with some whipped cream.
