Cherry cake: crunchy outside and creamy inside!

If you love cherries, this cake is a must-try!

INGREDIENTS
300g (2 3/8 cups) flour
100g (1/2 cup) powdered sugar
1 tbsp semolina
1 tbsp starch
100g (1/2 cup) sour cream
150g butter
1 tsp baking powder
 
2 egg whites
150g sugar 
150g sour cream 
 
200g сherries
 
Powdered sugar

METHOD
  1. In a bowl mix together flour with powdered sugar, semolina, starch, sour cream, butter and baking powder.
  2. Put the dough into the refrigerator for 20 minutes.
  3. Roll out the dough into the circle and put the cherries on top also in the circle and cover the cherries with the edges of the dough.
  4. Beat well egg whites with sugar and sour cream and pour it onto the cake, top with cherries and bake at 170’C ( 340’F) for 35 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
