Marble donut: a soft and light cake with an irresistible scent!

Here's a simple method to make an incredible cake in no-time!

INGREDIENTS
3 eggs
170g (2/3 cup) sugar
100ml (6 tbsp+2 tsp) milk
170ml (2/3 cup) vegetable oil
30g (2 tbsp) yogurt
220g (1 1/4 cup) flour
20g (2 tbsp) cocoa
5g (1 tsp) vanilla sugar
10g (2 tsp) baking powder

Melted chocolate (for decoration, optional)
Chopped hazelnuts (for decoration, optional)
 
METHOD
  1. In a bowl whisk eggs with sugar. Add oil and milk and whisk to combine. Add yogurt and stir well.
  2. Stir in sifted flour, baking powder, and vanilla sugar.
  3. Pour half of the batter into a separate bowl and set aside. Add cocoa powder to the remaining batter and mix until smooth.
  4. Place a glass in the middle of a cake form.
  5. Alternate spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter into the pan until you use all batter.
  6. Insert a wooden skewer in the batter and make horizontal lines to create a marbled pattern.
  7. Pour some water into the glass and bake in the preheated to 180°C/360°F oven for 25-30 minutes.
  8. When baked, let cool a bit, take the glass out and remove the donut from the mold.
  9. Decorate with melted chocolate and chopped nuts (optional).
