This man arranges candlelight dinners on train to woo commuters: the reactions are hilarious

Imagine taking the underground and suddenly finding yourself having dinner with a stranger. They call him "the train date guy": Elvin Mensah is a London actor and entertainer who likes to woo unsuspecting female commuters. Usually it all starts with a small table, roses, candles and continues with daily menu: grilled meat, grilled chicken, ethnic dishes, spaghetti and a glass of wine, or beer. Sometimes the invitation is for a romantic tête-à-tête, sometimes for movies and popcorn, or a nutritious brunch. And if it's five o'clock, as a perfect English gentleman he will serve tea and biscuits. Elvin knows that food is a weapon of seduction and is not afraid of breaking the ice, with music and dancing to create the atmosphere. Of course, his are just jokes, social experiments to see how people react when conventional patterns are broken. There are those who play the game, those who change places and prefer to watch the show from afar, but the result is the same: after a moment of bewilderment, laughter affects everyone. After all, it’s difficult to remain detached in front of a table loaded with food and drinks. His performances get thousands of views on social media and the 29 year old is not willing to stop. Even though he can’t do this now because of the lockdown, he hopes to cheer up the commuters back soon, taking the necessary precautions: "Making people smile is a nice gift".
