Coronavirus, the one-seat restaurant where you can sit alone surrounded by nature
published on 18 May, 2020 at 12:49
It is the first restaurant in the world with one seat, it is surrounded by nature, has no waiters and serves food via a basket. Bord för en is located in the county of Värmland, surrounded by a peaceful Swedish meadow. The idea came to Rasmus and Linda after receiving a visit from their parents. So, from a random event, this couple had the right idea at the right time, for those who wish to spend quality time with themselves and go to the restaurant while still observing social distancing rules, tasting the pleasure of freedom again. The 3-course menu is inspired by Rasmus’ most cherished memories, such as the dessert, called "Last days of summer", made with blueberries, iced buttermilk and viola sugar. To give anyone the opportunity to live this unique experience, Linda and Rasmus let the customer decide the price to pay. The project is studied in detail, from the choice of food to the setting, but the most important thing is customer safety. The table and chairs will be sanitized six hours after the diner leaves; and all dishes will be washed twice. So, in a period when we have to spend more time with ourselves, Linda and Rasmus combine quality food and a breathtaking location in order to offer their guests the opportunity to discover the beauty of solitude.
