If you think social media is for young people only, then you don't know Tito, a 79-year-old grandpa who started his YouTube cooking channel during the pandemic. His real name is Carlos Elizondo Frias, but he is known by all as Tito Charly. Tito had a trucking company, but when his wife died and his daughters got married he was left alone and decided to find a less tiring job that would allow him to earn a living. So he accepted a part-time job in a supermarket, where he was bagging groceries until the pandemic struck. This forced him to stay home after losing his job. Every Sunday morning, from his kitchen in Monterrey, he prepares traditional American dishes to share with his Youtube followers. Thanks to this new adventure, Tito has discovered how to fight the loneliness of isolation through social media, finding a window on the world to share his passion for cooking with others, without leaving home. Tito's charisma and energy made him famous in no time and, immediately after his debut, about 100,000 users subscribed to his channel. Tito Charly’s story is inspiring many people around the world to face this difficult period with the right spirit, turning small moments of daily life into special and unforgettable experiences.
