Pull Apart Christmas Wreath

Ingredients:100g Softened Butter
200g Sugar
2 eggs
250g Flour
½ Tsp Bicarbonate of soda
2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 Tsp Vanilla Extract
175ml Buttermilk
1 Tbsp and 1 Tsp Cocao powder
1 Tsp Red Food colouring
1 Kg Green Buttercream Icing
Green Fondant Icing
Glace Cherries
Instructions:
Add the butter into a stand mixer with the sugar and then cream together.
With the mixer still running add in the eggs.
Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and baking powder and then mix together.
Again with the mixer running add in the vanilla extract and buttermilk and form a batter.
Remove half of the batter and set aside.
In the remaining half sift in 1 Tbsp of the cocao powder and the red food colouring and mix.
Divide this mix into 12 cupcake cases and bake at 170°C or 340F for 23-25 minutes.
Take half of the remaining mix and add to 6 cupcake cases and add 1 tsp of cocao powder to the remaining half and fill a final 6 cupcake cases.
Again bake these at 170°C or 340F for 23-25 minutes.
When cooled arrange these cakes into two concentric circles and ice with buttercream icing before filling any gaps with more icing.
Cut out holly leaf shapes from green fondant icing.
Add these to the wreath and use glace cherries to represent holly berries.
Add a bow and enjoy!
