If time were like tomato sauce slipping through a sieve, we would like to be able to preserve a few bottles of those moments in our lives, to cherish just a bit of the authenticity of those precious and unrepeatable values of life. When we made tomato sauce at home we were different, we spent hours with our grandparents rubbing old bottles of tomato sauce or beer, jealously guarded for months as if they were the only caskets worthy of containing that precious red gold, needed to face the long cold winter
