Fried potato sticks: the delicious and easy to prepare side dish!

An incredible way to cook potatoes!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
400g potatoes
90g (3/4 cup) cornstarch
Salt to taste
90g edam cheese, shredded
Vegetable oil (frying oil)
METHOD
- Peel the potatoes, cut into cubes and boil for 20 minutes or until soft.
- Mash potatoes using a sieve.
- In a bowl combine mashed potatoes, cornstarch, shredded cheese, and season with salt and pepper. Mix everything well.
- Transfer the dough into a plastic zip bag and flatten the mixture with a rolling pin. Place into a freezer for 15 minutes.
- Open the zip bag with a knife and cut the dough into 1 cm sticks.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan, fry sticks on medium to low heat for 3-5 minutes or until golden.
