STRUDEL WITH PEARS: a simple but delicious version!

INGREDIENTS
1 roll of rectangular puff pastry
2 pears
70g sugar
70g raisins
40g breadcrumbs
40g pine nuts
1 egg
METHOD
1. Peel the pears, remove the seeds, and cut them into small pieces using a cutting board and knife.
2. Soak the raisins in a bowl of cold water.
3. In a large bowl, combine the pears, sugar, drained raisins, pine nuts, and breadcrumbs. Mix with a spoon.
4. Unroll the puff pastry onto a baking tray, using the parchment paper provided.
5. Spread the filling evenly over the pastry with a spoon, leaving the edges free.
6. Fold in the side edges of the pastry.
7. Roll up the pastry to form the strudel, keeping the seam side down.
8. Make small cuts on the surface of the strudel to allow steam to escape during baking.
9. Brush the strudel with the beaten egg.
10. Bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 30 minutes.
