Giant cream braided brioche: fluffy and full of flavor!

INGREDIENTS

250ml (1 cup) warm milk;
8g fresh yeast;
80g (⅜ cup) sugar;
1 egg;
60ml (¼ cup) vegetable oil;
500g (4 cups) 00 flour;
Soft butter;
Pastry cream and cranberries for decoration.
METHOD
- Combine warm milk with half of the sugar and add crumbled yeast into it. Set aside for 10 minutes to activate.
- Add leftover sugar, 1 egg and oil, whisk to combine.
- Start gradually adding flour while working the dough with the dough hooks.
- When all of the flour is incorporated, cover the dough with plastic, then set aside for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle, brush with some soft butter and cut into 6 strips almost all the way up. Braid the dough into 2 braids, then braid them together as shown on the video.
- Set the bread aside for 1 hour, then brush with some more butter and decorate using pastry cream and fresh berries.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes at 180C/350F.
