Baked bao Buns: the fluffiest sweet buns ever

Fluffy like a cloud, you will love these buns!
INGREDIENTS

80ml (1/3 cup) warm water
120ml (1/2 cup) warm milk
7g active dry yeast
4 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp oil
320g (2 1/2 cups) all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
Sugar powder
METHOD
- In a bowl add warm water and warm milk, mix with sugar and yeast. Add in flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Let the dough rest for about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough and make a round piece using a cup or little plate.
- Bend them in half and transfer to a baking pan. Let them rest for another 15 minutes and bake at 180’C (356’F) for 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Sprinkle with sugar powder.
