Flan cake: the perfect dessert for you guests!

INGREDIENTS
For the syrup:
 150g (¾ cup) sugar;
 60ml (¼ cup) water.
 
For the flan:
 4 eggs;
 300g (1 cup) sweetened condensed milk;
 360ml (1 ½ cup) milk;
 1 tsp vanilla powder.
 
For the batter:
 4 egg yolks;
 50g (¼ cup) sugar;
 50ml (¼ cup) vegetable oil;
 60ml (¼ cup) milk;
 1 tsp vanilla powder ;
 125g (1 cup) all-purpose flour;
 1 tsp (5 g) baking powder;
 ½ tsp salt;
 4 egg whites;
 1 tsp lemon juice;
 65g (⅓ cup) sugar.
 
METHOD
  1.  For the syrup place water and sugar mixture on medium heat and cook without stirring until amber in color. Pour the syrup on the bottom of a 20 cm baking pan, spreading evenly.
  2.  Whisk ingredients for the flan until smooth.
  3.  For the batter, beat egg yolks with sugar, oil and milk, add vanilla, flour, salt and baking powder and whisk until smooth.
  4.  Separately beat egg whites with lemon juice, adding sugar in 3 batches, until stiff peaks form.
  5.  Fold egg whites into the batter.
  6.  Pour flan mixture on top of the caramel, then carefully top with airy batter.
  7.  Bake in the hot water bath for 60 minutes at 180C/350F.
