Easy flan recipe: creamy and irresistible!

Here's how to make a delicious flan at home in a few steps:
INGREDIENTS
5 eggs;
100 g (½ cup) sugar;
500 ml (2 cups) milk;
1 tsp vanilla extract;
a pinch of salt;
80g (6 tbsp) sugar;
80ml (⅓ cup) water.

METHOD
- Preheat the oven to 160C/320F.
- Whisk eggs with sugar, vanilla, and salt. Start pouring in the milk and whisk to combine.
Strain egg mixture through the sieve. - Combine 6 tbsp of sugar and ⅓ cup water. Place over medium heat. Cook caramel for 10 minutes or until it's golden-brown.
- Pour caramel into 4 ramekins, then top with the creamy mixture.
- Transfer ramekins into a baking pan covered with cloth. Pour hot water to cover the ramekins ⅔ way up.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes or until set, remove when cooled down.
