PIZZAIOLA-STYLE BREAD CANNOLI: They'll be your new obsession

INGREDIENTS
5 slices of sandwich bread
80g (1/4 cup) tomato sauce
Salt
Dried oregano
40g (1/2 cup) parmesan
150g mozzarella for pizza
Extra virgin olive oil
 
For coating:
2 eggs
Breadcrumbs
 
METHOD
1. Place a slice of sandwich bread on a cutting board and cut it in half to form two squares. Roll out each square well until very thin.
2. In a bowl, add the tomato sauce, salt, dried oregano, parmesan, and mozzarella for pizza. Mix to combine.
3. Fill each bread square with the tomato mixture and seal the edges to form a cannoli shape.
4. Dip them first in beaten eggs, then coat them with breadcrumbs.
5. Transfer them to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Drizzle with olive oil and bake at 180°C/360°F for 20 minutes.
6. Serve them all together on a serving dish and enjoy.
