Stuffed buns with potatoes and cheese: perfect for dinner

How to use a straw to make a delicious dinner!
INGREDIENTS
For the dough:
200ml (¾ cup + 2 tbsp) warm water
30g (2 tbsp) flour
90ml (1/3 cup) warm ayran
50ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
20g (2 tsp) sugar
6g (1 tsp) salt
7g (1 tbsp) dry yeast
1 egg white
1 egg yolk
480g (4 cups) all-purpose flour
For the filling:
Mashed potatoes
Cheese cubes
METHOD
- In a bowl combine warm water, sugar, 2 tbsp of flour, and instant yeast. Whisk well and let sit for 10 minutes.
- Pour in olive oil, egg white, ayran, and stir to combine.
- Stir in flour and salt, and start to mix the dough with a spatula. Then continue to knead it with your hands until you receive an elastic dough.
- Cover and let sit for 1 hour.
- Divide obtained dough into 10-12 pieces and roll each piece into a ball and then into a long oval shape.
- Using a straw cut out holes all over the half of the oval, creating a pattern.
- Place a spoonful of mashed potatoes on the plain part of dough and top with a small cheese cube. Cover with the dough edge and roll the bun. Continue with the remaining dough.
- Arrange buns on a baking tray, cover, and let sit for 15-20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F. Brush buns with egg yolk and bake for 30-35 minutes. Enjoy!
