Gâteau Invisible: the invisible apple cake to try right now!

Dozens of layers of thinly sliced apples held together with only a little bit of cake batter, this dessert is a must-try! 

INGREDIENTS
 100ml (3.5 fl.oz) milk;
 75g (2.6 oz) flour;
 50g (1.7 oz) sugar;
 6-7 green apples;
 2 eggs;
 1 lemon (zest and juice);
 1 ½ tsp baking powder.
 
METHOD
  1.  Preheat oven to 180C/350F. Brush a cake pan with butter.
  2.  Peel, core and slice the apples. Drizzle apple slices with lemon juice.
  3.  Whisk eggs with sugar until pale and light. Add lemon zest, flour and baking powder. Whisk again until smooth batter forms.
  4.  Pour the batter all over the apple slices and mix to coat all of them.
  5.  Transfer apple slices into a prepared pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  6.  Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden and cooked through.
