INGREDIENTS
5 apples
2 eggs
100g of all-purpose flour
60g of sugar
30ml of vegetable oil
100ml of milk
2 teaspoons of baking powder

20cm cake tin

METHOD

1. Peel the apples, remove the seeds, and then slice them thinly using a mandoline.

2. Add the eggs and sugar to a large bowl, and beat the ingredients with an electric mixer until you get a tall, whitish mixture.

3. Add the vegetable oil and grated lemon zest, and mix again.

4. Add the sifted flour and baking powder, and continue mixing with the electric mixer until you get a lump-free mixture.

5. Finally, add the milk in 2 batches, mixing after each addition.

6. Add the sliced apples and gently mix with a spatula.

7. Pour and level the mixture into a 20cm cake tin lined with parchment paper.

8. Bake at 180°C for about 40 minutes.
