Apple pie with cream: a soft cake to try now!

So creamy and mouth-watering, this cake is a must-try! 
 
INGREDIENTS
For the custard:
1 egg
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
250ml (1 cup) milk
 
For the dough:
2 eggs
100g (1/2 cup) sugar
120ml (1/2 cup) milk
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
130 g flour (1 cup)
 
1 apple
Powdered sugar

METHOD
  1. In a small saucepan add egg, sugar, cornstarch and milk. Cook on medium heat until thick.
  2. In a bowl beat together eggs with sugar, add in milk and vanilla, sift in flour with baking powder.
  3. Layer sliced apples on a baking pan and cover it with a prepared mixture. Make a net using prepared custard on the top.
  4. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 30-35 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
