Giant custard pie: a delicious Italian recipe to try!

This is the perfect dessert for any occasion!
INGREDIENTS

Dough:
300g / 2.4 cups flour (all purpose)
2 eggs
80g / 0.4 cup sugar
100g / 0.44 cup butter
1 tsp baking powder
Salt
½ tsp vanilla
Cream:
2 yolks
80g / 0.4 cup sugar
50 g corn starch
600ml / 2.45 cups milk
½ tsp vanilla
Black cherry in syrup
Icing sugar
METHOD
- Mix all ingredients for the dough and knead. Let stand for 30 minutes.
- Mix the yolks with sugar. Add starch, milk, vanilla. Brew the cream.
- Put 2/3 of the dough into the mold. Put custard and cherries on the dough. Cover with 1/3 of the dough. Join the edges well. Grease the top of the pie with butter. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake for 30 minutes at 180 ° C / 350 ° F.
- Sprinkle the finished cake with icing sugar.
