Portokalopita, the orange Greek cake that you'll love

Ingredients:
4 eggs
1 large orange (slices and peel)
Phyllo dough
230 g sugar for the cake
400 g sugar for the syrup
300g Greek yogurt
230 ml oil
2 tablespoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
500 ml orange juice
1 shot of orange liqueur (optional)

400 g sugar for the syrup
300g Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 shot of orange liqueur (optional)
Directions:
Grate the orange peel and then cut into slices. Beat 4 eggs with sugar, then add the peel, yeast and vanilla. Finally the pasta is shredded and mixed. Pour the mixture into a pan and cover with the orange slices. Bake at 350°F (180°) for 30-40 minutes.
Syrup: bring sugar and orange juice to the boil, then add the liqueur. Pour it on the cake and let it absorb overnight.
Grate the orange peel and then cut into slices. Beat 4 eggs with sugar, then add the peel, yeast and vanilla. Finally the pasta is shredded and mixed. Pour the mixture into a pan and cover with the orange slices. Bake at 350°F (180°) for 30-40 minutes.
