Onion omelette: the easy and savory recipe

Ingredients:
3 onions (golden or white or red)
Half a cup of water
Extra virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper
4 eggs
40 g of grated cheese
8 provola cheese slices
Breadcrumbs
Directions:
1. Clean the onions and slice them.
2. Pour oil in a pan and add onions.
3. Put a lid on and let cook at low heat, stirring every now and then.
4. In a bowl mix eggs, cheese and salt. Stir well to combine.
5. Now add onions cooked before and a little bit of pepper.
6. Pour some olive oil in a pan and sprinkle the bottom with breadcrumbs then pour half of the onion and egg batter.
7. Place the cheese slices and cover with the other half of the batter.
8. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs again, put a lid on and let cook for 15-20 minutes.
9. Turn the omelette and cook the other side until golden.
