Chicken roll: an easy recipe perfect for weeknights!

 This recipe is a family favorite! 
 
INGREDIENTS
6 chicken breasts
6 slices cheese
6 slices ham
13 slices bacon
salt to taste
black pepper to taste

METHOD
  1. Season chicken breast with salt and pepper and place between two pieces of plastic wrap. Use the flat side of a meat mallet to pound it flat. Continue with the remaining breasts.
  2. Line your working surface with plastic wrap and place flatten breasts on top in 2 rows slightly overlapping each other.
  3. Arrange cheese slices on the flattened chicken and top with ham. With the help of plastic wrap, roll up the chicken, ensuring the filling stays inside. Chill for 1 hour.
  4. Place bacon strips overlapping slightly on the working surface lined with plastic wrap, place the cooled chicken roll on top and roll it up.
  5. Preheat the oven to 180C/360F. Bake the roll for 40 minutes or until bacon is crispy and chicken is cooked through.
  6. When cooked, let sit for 10 minutes, slice and enjoy!
