Guanto Caleno Recipe: A Typical Italian Carnival Treat

Ingredients:
500g all-purpose flour
5 whole eggs
80g sugar
50ml milk
25 g of extra virgin olive oil
25g liqueur of your choice
5g baking soda or 2 tsp baking powder
lemon juice
lemon peel
vanilla flavor
pinch of salt
 
Directions:
Whip the eggs with the sugar, then add olive oil, milk, liqueur and lemon juice. Separately mix the dry ingredients, add the lemon peel and combine with the rest. Knead the dough by hand and form the guanti as shown in the video, then deep fry them and turn them vigorously during cooking. Serve with powdered sugar and chocolate.
