Cherry sponge cake: how to prepare this delight

Ingredients:
320 gr flour
200 ml milk
200 gr sugar
120 ml oil
2 eggs
2 tablespoons baking powder
Cherries in syrup
Vanilla essence (1 teaspoon)

Directions:
Beat the eggs with the sugar, then add the flour, milk and yeast. Also add the oil and mix. Pour into a mold and add the cherries. Bake at 320°F (160°) for about 50 minutes.
