Cheese sticks: you won't be able to stop at one!

INGREDIENTS
250g (2 cups) all-purpose flour;
5g (2 tsp) baking powder;
1 tsp (5 g) sugar;
1/2 tsp salt;
1 egg;
70ml (1/3 cup) milk;
60g (1/4 cup) butter, cold;
20 sticks of cheese.
 
METHOD
  1. Mix flour with salt, sugar and baking powder. Add cold butter and work everything with your hands until combined. You should get a mixture with a texture of wet sand.
  2. Make a well in the center and pour egg and milk inside. Knead the dough until it comes together, rolls it out and fold as shown in the video.
  3. Set the dough aside for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll out the dough and cut it into 2 cm strips. Brush each strip with water lightly and wrap around a cheese stick, overlapping and making sure to cover it well.
  5. You can freeze cheese sticks or fry them right away for 3-4 minutes or until golden.
