Tall and super fluffy; the Red Velvet Cake is one of the most popular American cakes, with a spectacular bright red color and a delicious cream cheese frosting. Here's the recipe to make it at home!

INGREDIENTS
275g flour
1 teaspoon salt
15g cocoa powder (preferably 10)
115g butter
300g sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
240 g of buttermilk
2 teaspoons filled with red food coloring
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
For Frosting:
250g mascarpone cheese
250g cream cheese
115g powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
360g whipped cream
1 teaspoon salt
15g cocoa powder (preferably 10)
115g butter
300g sugar

240 g of buttermilk
2 teaspoons filled with red food coloring
1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon baking soda
For Frosting:
250g mascarpone cheese
250g cream cheese
115g powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
360g whipped cream
DIRECTIONS
To begin with, you can prepare buttermilk at home, combining milk, yogurt and lemon. Mix well and let it rest for 30 minutes. Start preparing the cake; put the food coloring in the buttermilk, and mix. Mix cocoa, flour and salt then sift. Put the butter in a bowl, then add the sugar. With the fork break the eggs, and add then to the butter one at a time. Add the vanilla extract. Combine the flour-based mixture and the buttermilk. Now add a teaspoon of baking soda, combined with vinegar. Put in the pan and bake at 175°C (350°F)for about 70 minutes. Now prepare the cream; Put mascarpone, cream cheese, vanilla extract and powdered sugar in a bowl and whisk. Fill with the frosting and then top the cake, as shown in the video.
