Red velvet: the perfect cake for the Valentine's Day!

This viral hack for cutting cake with a wine glass is pretty genius!
INGREDIENTS
310 g (2 ⅔ cups) flour;
16 g (2 tbsp) cocoa;
5 g (1 tsp) baking soda;
a pinch of salt;
1/4 tsp vanilla powder
113 g (½ cup) butter, room temp.;
300 g (1 ½ cup) sugar;
2 eggs;
220g (1 cup) vegetable oil;
5 ml (1 tsp) vinegar;
240 ml (1 cup) buttermilk;
500g (2 cups) cream cheese;
300 g (1 ⅓ cup) cream;
1/4 tsp vanilla powder
Vanilla extract;
25 g (¼ cup) powdered sugar;
Red food dye.
METHOD
- Whisk flour, salt, cocoa and baking soda.
- Beat butter with sugar until creamy, add eggs and oil.
- Combine dry ingredients with butter mixture and buttermilk. Dye the batter red.
- Pour batter into two 20 cm cake pans and bake at 180C/350F for 50 minutes, let cool down and trim.
- Whip cream with vanilla and powdered sugar, fold in cream cheese.
- Spread cream between two cake layers and decorate with cream on top.
