Strawberry and cream cake: the recipe for a delicious dessert

Ingredients:

- For the sponge cake:

4 eggs

120 g of sugar

120 g of flour

- For the filling:

400 ml of milk

4 egg yolks

Vanilla sugar

90 g of sugar

40 g of corn starch

6 g of gelatin sheets

300 ml of whipping cream

1 tbsp of sugar

2 tbsp of mascarpone cheese (optional)

20 g of butter

500 g of strawberries

Directions:

1. Whisk eggs and sugar until fluffy, then stir in sifted flour.

2. Pour the batter in a tray coated with baking paper.

3. Bake at 170° for 10 minutes.

4. For the filling: mix egg yolks, vanilla sugar and sugar, then add cornstarch too.

5. Add warm milk, move the mixture in a pot and cook on the stove at low heat until it thickens.

6. Now mix in hydrated gelatin.

7. Whip the cream with vanilla, sugar, mascarpone cheese. Then mix with the custard you made before.

8. Assemble the cake alternating sponge cake disks, filling and fresh strawberries in pieces.

9. Refrigerate for at least 5 hours, then decorate with filling and strawberries on top.
