Chocolate and custard cake: the recipe to make a delicious and creamy dessert

Ingredients:
- For the custard:
180 g of sugar
Vanilla sugar or vanilla extract
50 g of corn starch
6 egg yolks
400 ml of milk
150 g of butter
- For the sponge cake:
120 g of flour
30 g of cocoa powder
1 tsp of baking powder
1/2 tsp of baking soda
6 egg whites
1 egg
150 g of sugar
120 g of sour cream or greek yogurt
80 ml of vegetable oil
- For coating:
80 g of dark chocolate
100 ml of warm cream
Directions:
1. Custard: mix sugar, vanilla sugar, corn starch, egg yolks and milk in a saucepan.
2. Cook on the stove and stir until it thickens. Then stir in the butter.
3. Cover with some plastic wrap and let cool.
4. Sponge cake: beat the eggs with sugar. Then add sour cream, oil and sifted dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
5. Bake at 180° for 40 minutes.
6. Cut the cake in two layers and fill with the custard made before.
7. Ganache: melt chocolate in warm cream and stir well. Use this mixture to coat the cake.
8. Refrigerate overnight, then decorate.
