The best apple cake you've ever tried!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
1kg (8.4 cups) apples
5 eggs
110g (0.8 cup) flour
a pinch of salt
90g (0.4 cup) sugar
30g (2 tbsp) melted butter
150ml (0.6 cup) milk
2 lemons (juice and zest)
16g (1 tbsp) baking powder
Almonds
Powdered sugar
Caramel
METHOD
- Peel the apples, then grate them thinly. Cut a few apples into slices to coat the surface of the cake. Sprinkle the apples with fresh lemon juice and set aside.
- Beat eggs and sugar. Add lemon zest, salt and continue to stir. Add lemon juice, butter and milk.
- Gradually add the sifted flour and baking powder. When everything is whipped, pour it into a bowl with apples, and then into a mold lined with baking paper.
- Arrange apples on the surface and sprinkle with almonds.
- Bake at 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes
- You can sprinkle apple cake with caramel sauce or powdered sugar.
