Hot milk butter cake: the perfect dessert for every occasion!

Here's the secret to make a fluffy and soft cake!
INGREDIENTS

120ml (0.5 cup) whole milk
60g (0.2 cup) unsalted butter
160g (1.2 cup) flour for all purposes
5g (1 tsp) baking powder
Pinch of salt
4 eggs, room temperature
160g (0.8 cup) cast sugar or granulated white sugar
5ml (1 tsp) vanilla paste or vanilla extract
METHOD
- Put butter, milk in a small pan and let it simmer over low heat. Meanwhile, sift the flour, baking powder, salt and set aside. In a large bowl, mix the eggs with the vanilla using a mixer on medium speed. When the eggs start to foam, add a little sugar and continue to mix at high speed until you get a thick mixture. Gently combine the flour mixture and the egg mixture with a spatula.
- Add and combine the hot milk mixture twice: be sure to add the milk while it is still hot. Pour the cake batter into a lined and greased 20 cm cake tin.
- Tap the cake pan from the work surface and run a stick through the dough in the mold to remove air bubbles. Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C-345°F for about 30-35 minutes or until the toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool slightly, then pass a thin spatula through the edges of the cake, dissolve the cake and cool completely on the rack.
- Sprinkle the cake with sugar.
