Lemon bars: zest, sweet, and beyond easy to make

Ingredients:
For the crust:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons lemon zest, about 2 lemons
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into pieces
1/3 cup sugar

1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into pieces
For the filling:
6 large eggs
1 and 1/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup all-purpose flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup fresh lemon juice
Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, sugar, lemon zest, and salt. Stir to combine. Press the dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Whisk the eggs and sugar together in a large bowl. Add the flour and salt. Whisk. Stir in the lemon juice. Pour over the hot crust and bake for 25 minutes. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight. Cut into squares and dust with confectioner's sugar.
