Lemon fritters: a delicious sweet treat ready with a few ingredients!

Easy, fun and quick to make!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
350 g (12 oz) flour;
35 g (1.2 oz) sugar;
200 g (7 oz) sour cream;
1 egg;
1 tsp baking powder;
½ tsp salt;
2 tbsp vegetable oil;
1 lemon, zest;
Sugar, powdered sugar, lemon zest for decoration.
METHOD
- Whisk egg with sugar, zest, oil and sour cream.
- Separately whisk baking powder with flour and salt.
- Pour egg mixture into the dry mixture and stir to form a smooth dough.
- Roll out the dough and cut it into diamond shapes. Make a slit in the middle of each piece of dough and pass on of the ends of the dough through this slit.
- Preheat vegetable oil to 180C/350F and cook each fritter for around 3-4 minutes, until puffy and golden.
- Mix sugar with powdered sugar and pass each donut in the mixture before serving, topped with lemon zest.
