Lemon fritters: a delicious sweet treat ready with a few ingredients!

Easy, fun and quick to make! 

INGREDIENTS
 350 g (12 oz) flour;
 35 g (1.2 oz) sugar;
 200 g (7 oz) sour cream;
 1 egg;
 1 tsp baking powder;
 ½ tsp salt;
 2 tbsp vegetable oil;
 1 lemon, zest;
 Sugar, powdered sugar, lemon zest for decoration.
 
METHOD
  1.  Whisk egg with sugar, zest, oil and sour cream.
  2.  Separately whisk baking powder with flour and salt.
  3.  Pour egg mixture into the dry mixture and stir to form a smooth dough.
  4.  Roll out the dough and cut it into diamond shapes. Make a slit in the middle of each piece of dough and pass on of the ends of the dough through this slit.
  5.  Preheat vegetable oil to 180C/350F and cook each fritter for around 3-4 minutes, until puffy and golden.
  6.  Mix sugar with powdered sugar and pass each donut in the mixture before serving, topped with lemon zest.
