Cheesy fluffy cake: the perfect alternative to usual bread!

Light, fluffy, buttery cheese bread is impossible to resist.
Homemade with just a handful of simple ingredients, it will be a hit!
INGREDIENTS
Homemade with just a handful of simple ingredients, it will be a hit!
INGREDIENTS
1 egg;
80ml (⅓ cup) oil;
75g (⅓ cup) feta cheese;
30g (4 tbsp) parsley;
7g (½ tbsp) yeast;
1 tbsp sugar
300ml (1 ¼ cup) warm milk;
90g (1 cup) cheese;
½ tsp salt;
600g (4.8 cups) all-purpose flour;
Sharp cheese, sliced.
METHOD
- Whisk yeast, milk and a teaspoon of sugar in a large bowl. Set aside until foam creates on the surface.
- Add an egg and vegetable oil, whisk again.
- Combine liquids with half of the flour and stir until soggy dough forms. Add parsley and both kinds of cheese into it.
- Mix leftover flour into the dough and knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough with plastic and set aside for 1 hour.
- Knead the dough again and spread in a rectangular baking pan, greased with some vegetable oil.
- Let the dough rise again for one more hour, then make some indents with your hand, cutting the dough into sections.
- Place sliced cheese into the cuts, then brush the surface with egg wash and bake for 40-45 minutes at 190C/375F.
