Baked onion bread: the perfect alternative to usual bread!

Just pour the onions into the batter and the result will be amazing!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
450 g (15 oz) flour;
220 ml (7.4 oz) warm water;
1 tsp salt;
1 tbsp yeast;
1 tbsp vegetable oil;
2 tbsp butter;
1 large white onion, sliced;
1 large purple onion, sliced.
METHOD
- Melt butter over medium heat and use it to saute both types of sliced onion until soft and slightly brown. Let cool down.
- Activate the yeast by combining it with sugar and warm water. Set aside until foam forms on the surface.
- Mix flour with salt, add yeast solution and oil in. Knead until the dough is smooth.
- Mix onion into the dough, form it into a ball and set aside for 1 hour.
- Divide into 4 portions and roll each one out into a disk. Use 4 toothpicks to make small holes in the dough.
- Bake at 230C/450F for 20 minutes. You can brush them with butter while they are still hot.
