Mozzarella fried skewers: cheesy and irresistible!

They are irresistible!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
Mozzarella, cut into cubes;
Mortadella, cut into cubes;
3 eggs;
Breadcrumbs;
Flour;
500 ml (2 cups) milk;
50 g (¼ cup) butter;
40 g (3 tbsp) flour;
Salt to taste;
A pinch of nutmeg.
METHOD
- Skewer mozzarella and mortadella pieces, alternating them.
- Whisk eggs.
- Melt butter over medium heat and add flour. Stir and cook for 1 minute, add milk and whisk until no lumps remain. Cook until thickens for 5-7 minutes, whisking constantly.
- Season with salt and nutmeg to taste. Let cool down slightly.
- Cover skewers with bechamel, then dredge in flour, dip into egg and cover with breadcrumbs. Repeat egg and breadcrumbs coating.
- Fry skewers for 2 minutes on each side or until golden and crispy.
