Yogurt cake: every bite will melt in your mouth!

This is not the usual boring dessert! You'll fall in love with this recipe!
INGREDIENTS

2 egg yolks;
100 g (3.5 oz) butter;
50 g (1.7 oz) sugar;
½ tsp vanilla extract;
a pinch of salt;
zest ½ lemon;
150 g (5 oz) flour;
½ tsp baking powder;
2 egg whites;
75 g (2.6 oz sugar;
200 g (7 oz) yogurt;
200 g (7 oz) sour cream;
4 tbsp semolina;
½ tsp vanilla extract.
METHOD
- Beat egg yolks with sugar until pale. Add softened butter and continue working with a hand mixer until it’s incorporated.
- Add vanilla, zest and salt. Combine everything with flour, divide in half, wrap in plastic and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Beat egg whites with sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Whisk yogurt, vanilla, sour cream and semolina. Fold egg white mixture into the dairy mixture carefully.
- Roll out one half of the dough and place it into a squire 20x20 cm baking pan, covered with parchment. Pour the yogurt filling on top and cover with a layer of shredded half of the dough.
- Bake for 30 minutes at 180C/350F.
