Pastel mágico: the dessert that will melt in your mouth!

A simple batter splits into 3 distinct layers as it bakes in this beautiful magic cake that features creamy custard in the middle!

INGREDIENTS
4 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp lemon zest
140 g sugar
125g unsalted butter
500 ml milk
115 g flour
pinch of salt
ice sugar
 
METHOD
  1. Separate 4 eggs. Whisk egg yolks with sugar, vanilla extract, lemon zest, butter, milk and flour. Whisk the egg whites with a pinch of salt.
  2. Combine with previous mass and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes at 360/180 degrees. For the next 40 minutes, bake at 320/160 degrees.
  3. Cut into cubes and sprinkle with ice sugar.
