Savory Baklava: how to make it flaky and full of cheese

INGREDIENTS
 1 egg;
 2/3 cup warm milk;
 ¼ cup vegetable oil; 
 ½ tsp salt;
 ½ tsp baking soda;
 2 ½-3 cups flour;
 1 ½ cup cottage cheese, salted;
 1 cup water;
 ½ cup milk.
 
METHOD
  1.  Preheat oven to 180C/350F.
  2.  Combine egg, warm milk and oil together. Add salt and baking soda. Start adding in flour and knead until smooth dough forms.
  3.  Cut the dough into 27 portions, roll each into a ball and set aside for 15 minutes.
  4.  Roll each ball into a circle and pile 9 circles on top of each other, forming 3 layered sheets of dough.
  5.  Roll out each sheet of layered dough. Place the base layer into a round baking pan, cover with half of the cottage cheese, add another layer of dough, more cheese and finish with leftover dough.
  6.  Cut baklava into squares, bake for 30 minutes the pour in milk and water solution and continue cooking for 30 minutes more.
