Savory Baklava: how to make it flaky and full of cheese

INGREDIENTS
1 egg;
2/3 cup warm milk;
¼ cup vegetable oil;
½ tsp salt;
½ tsp salt;
½ tsp baking soda;
2 ½-3 cups flour;
1 ½ cup cottage cheese, salted;
1 cup water;
½ cup milk.
METHOD
- Preheat oven to 180C/350F.
- Combine egg, warm milk and oil together. Add salt and baking soda. Start adding in flour and knead until smooth dough forms.
- Cut the dough into 27 portions, roll each into a ball and set aside for 15 minutes.
- Roll each ball into a circle and pile 9 circles on top of each other, forming 3 layered sheets of dough.
- Roll out each sheet of layered dough. Place the base layer into a round baking pan, cover with half of the cottage cheese, add another layer of dough, more cheese and finish with leftover dough.
- Cut baklava into squares, bake for 30 minutes the pour in milk and water solution and continue cooking for 30 minutes more.
