Giant struffoli: the Italian recipe to enjoy your holidays

Ingredients:
400 gr flour
200 ml hot water
1 fresh yeast cube
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 pinch of salt

Syrup:
150 gr sugar
300 ml water
1 slice of lemon
150 gr sugar
300 ml water
1 slice of lemon
Directions:
Syrup: in a saucepan put sugar, water and lemon. Heat until the sugar has completely dissolved.
In a bowl pour the flour and crumble the yeast. Then add the water, sugar and salt. Mix well until the mixture is smooth and uniform. Let rise until doubled in volume.
Fry in hot oil and pass in the syrup.
