Stuffed onions wrapped in dough: you need to get your hands on this!

Soft, caramelised onions stuffed with bacon and creamy cottage cheese, crispy and soften, you've never make onions in this way!

INGREDIENTS
• 4 onions
• 400g diced bacon
• 4 pizza doughs
• 300g cottage cheese
• 1 egg
• 100g grated mozzarella
• Salt and pepper
 
METHOD
  1. Peel the onion and cut the top and bottom. Remove the core from the onion to keep the first thick layers intact.
  2. Grind the onion core and cook in a pan with 300g diced bacon.
  3. Cut 2 large discs into each pizza dough, divide the remaining diced pieces into half of them and cover them with the remaining discs.
  4. Align the discs with a rolling pin. Wrap the onions in these dough discs, leaving one end open.
  5. Combine the cottage cheese, egg, salt and pepper and spread the mixture over the onion. Put on bacon and onions.
  6. Cover the onion with grated mozzarella and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C/350°F
