INGREDIENTS
6 egg yolks
8 egg whites
300g sugar
285g all-purpose flour
Pinch of salt
120g corn oil
190g water
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons cream of tartar

DIRECTIONS
Sift the flour and baking powder in a bowl; make a hole, then add oil, egg yolks, sugar and water. Whip the egg whites until they become frothy, then add the cream of tartar. At this point you can add either a tablespoon of vanilla extract or lemon peel, then mix with the whisk. Add the egg whites gradually, mixing from bottom to top. Pour the mixture into the mold and bake at 160°C (320°F) for 50 minutes.
