If you have a vegetable garden, sometimes tomatoes may still be green when winter arrives. To prevent the cold season from killing them, it is good to pick them and protect them inside a cardboard box, wrapped in newspaper. After 2-3 weeks of waiting, being careful to store them in a dark and cool place, the tomatoes will turn red and then ripe, ready to be consumed.
