CARNIVAL MASKS COOKIES: colorful and delicious sweets to celebrate! ðŸŽ

INGREDIENTS
300g (2 1/2 cups) of all-purpose flour
150g (2/3 cup) of butter
80g (2/3 cup) of powdered sugar
1 egg
1 tsp of vanilla extract

For decoration:
100g of milk chocolate, melted
Sprinkles
Grated coconut
Pistachio grains
Â
METHOD
1. In a bowl, mix the flour and powdered sugar and give it a quick stir.
2. Add the butter in small cubes and knead by hand until you get a crumbly mixture.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract.
4. Continue kneading until you obtain a smooth dough. Wrap it in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
5. After the resting time, roll out the dough first by pressing gently, then using a rolling pin. Roll it out to about 5mm thickness.
6. Use a mask-shaped cookie cutter to cut out the cookies. Place them on a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (360°F) for 10 minutes.
7. Once cooled, decorate the cookies with melted chocolate and sprinkle as desired. You can also use shredded coconut and chopped pistachios for decoration.
