Stuffed fritters with custard cream: super soft and yummy

INGREDIENTS
Dough:
390g (3 cups) flour
2 eggs
Lemon zest
30g (2 tbsp) sugar
50g butter
140ml (3/5 cup) water
Salt
7g (1 1/2 tsp) dry yeast

METHOD
- In a mixing bowl, add flour, yeast, eggs, lemon zest, sugar, and water. Knead the dough.
- Add butter and mix well. Leave the dough to rest for 2 hours.
- Divide the dough into 8 parts and make braids.
- Place the braids on baking paper and let stand for another 30 minutes.
- Fry in hot oil. Roll the fritters in sugar and fill them with custard and cherries. Serve.
