Homemade croissants: how to make them fluffy and delicious

INGREDIENTS
150ml (⅔ cup) warm milk;
8g (1 tbsp) fresh yeast;
50g (¼ cup) sugar;
1 egg;
60ml (¼ cup) vegetable oil;
400g (2 ½ cup) bread flour;
½ tsp salt;
30g (1 tbsp) butter.

METHOD
- Whisk warm milk with sugar and yeast. Add vegetable oil and an egg. Whisk nicely.
- Mix in flour and salt, kneading until the dough comes together. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough into a circle and cut it into triangles.
- Brush with melted butter and roll each croissant.
- Set croissants aside for 1 hour to rise, then brush with egg wash and bake at 200°C/400°F for 35 minutes.
