Homemade croissants: how to make them fluffy and delicious

INGREDIENTS
150ml (⅔ cup) warm milk;
8g (1 tbsp) fresh yeast;
50g (¼ cup) sugar;
1 egg;
60ml (¼ cup) vegetable oil;
400g (2 ½ cup) bread flour;
½ tsp salt;
30g (1 tbsp) butter.
METHOD
  1. Whisk warm milk with sugar and yeast. Add vegetable oil and an egg. Whisk nicely.
  2. Mix in flour and salt, kneading until the dough comes together. Cover and set aside for 1 hour.
  3. Roll out the dough into a circle and cut it into triangles.
  4. Brush with melted butter and roll each croissant.
  5. Set croissants aside for 1 hour to rise, then brush with egg wash and bake at 200°C/400°F for 35 minutes.
