Spiral fritters: crunchy and quick to prepare!

A genius way to make irresistible fritters!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
200 ml (4/3 cup + 4 tsp) milk
1 egg
15 g (2 tbsp) powdered sugar
15 g (2 tbsp) cornstarch
130 g (1 1/8 cup) flour
5 g (tsp) baking powder
oil (for frying)
icing sugar (for decoration)
METHOD
- In a bowl whisk milk, egg and icing sugar.
Add flour, cornstarch and baking powder and mix until you obtain smooth and homogeneous batter. - Transfer batter to a piping bag with a thin nozzle.
Add oil into a frying pan or pot and heat over medium-high heat. - Take a ladle and turn it upside down. Pipe the batter on the ladle in the shape of a spiral and dip the ladle in the heated oil. Wait 15-20 seconds and take the ladle out.
- Fry fritters for approximately 2-3 minutes on both sides or until golden.
- Arrange fritters on a paper towel to drain any excess fat.
Continue with the remaining batter. - Arrange fritters on a plate, sprinkle with some icing sugar and serve.
